Gaza hospital bomb attack, at least 200 dead

 

At least 200 people were killed in an Israeli bomb attack on a hospital in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Many are buried under the rubble of the hospital. Gaza's ruling group Hamas said the attack took place at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza on Tuesday night.


Hundreds of patients including those injured in the Israeli attack were admitted in that hospital. In addition, many displaced Palestinians took refuge there, the Gaza authorities said in a statement. The Hamas media office described the Israeli attack as a 'war crime'.


Regarding the attack on the hospital, Israeli Armed Forces spokesman Daniel Hageri said, "The attack happened a while ago. We will look into the matter.'

Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced three days of mourning over the attack on the hospital. Earlier, the authorities of the valley reported the death of nearly 3,000 people in Gaza during the 11-day Israeli attack. At least 12,500 people were injured in the attack.
