199 hostages by Hamas, 291 Israeli soldiers killed

                                                                                           
Fighters of Hamas, the armed group of the Palestinian independence movement, have taken 199 Israeli citizens hostage. In addition, at least 291 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Hamas attacks so far. Israeli Armed Forces Spokesman Daniel Hageri said this on Monday.

Daniel Hagery said that so far 199 Israeli families have come to the attention of the army, whose loved ones have been taken hostage by Hamas to the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Army is always working to bring them back.

On October 7, Hamas fired thousands of rockets from Gaza into Israel. At the same time, Hamas fighters crossed the border and entered the territory of Israel. During this time, they took many Israelis including foreign nationals as hostages to Gaza.

Israel bombarded Gaza on the first day of the Hamas attack. Since then there have been continuous counter-attacks. More than 2,700 Palestinians have died in Gaza as a result of Israeli bombardment. On the other hand, more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel by Hamas attacks.
